This is a sad day for Youtubers everywhere. The Flipcam HD is no more. Cisco Systems announced earlier today that they are pulling the plug on the Flipcam. This move puts about 550 people out of work. Cisco bought Pure Digital -- the makers of the Flip -- in 2009 for $590 million.

I'm a big fan of the Flip Mino, so I'm eager to see what new pocket cam will be rolled out to take it's place.
