Coconut oil, or copra oil, is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of mature coconuts harvested from the coconut palm and it has about a gazillion different uses. My coconut oil of choice is the Sky Organics Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

I love the formula and it's pretty affordable. You can find it here: http://go.magik.ly/ml/46zg/

Here are some of my favorites uses for coconut oil:

Stretch Mark Cure: Rub coconut oil all over  your stomach during pregnancy to reduce stretch mark.  It allows your skin to heal more quickly and also provides hydration.

Anti-Fungal Treatment: Coconut oil has antibiotic capabilities the can be used to treat athletes foot and skin fungus. Rub some on the affected area every day until the fungus subsides.

Coconut Oil Pulling:  This Ayurvedic practice will improve the health of your teeth and gums. Swish 1 tablespoon of coconut oil immediately after rising in the morning. Spend 10-20 minutes swishing; do not swallow the oil. Spit the oil out and rinse with water.

In-grown Hair Treatment:  Rub the shaven with coconut oil. The oil helps to soften skin so hair can easily grow through the follicle properly without becoming ingrown, plus it kills bacteria at the same time. (via DrAxe.com)

Homemade Body Scrub: Combine oil with brown sugar or ground coffee beans create a homade lip and body scrub.

Natural Insect repellent: Combine one tablespoon of coconut oil, one of peppermint oil, one drop of rosemary, one drop of tea tree oil to keep pesky mosquitos, gnats and bees at bay.

Homemade Massage Oil: Create a relaxing massage oil by combining with a few of drops of lavender oil and peppermint oil to help heal sore muscles.

Moisturizing Deep Conditioner: Add a teaspoon to your favorite deep conditioner.

Skin Moisturizer: Slather coconut oil generously all over your body to hydrate dry skin especially during the cold winter months.
